100% Shiraz sourced from a combination of our oldest vineyard on Tatachilla Road and from Gemtree's home block.
- Colour
- Deep red, purple/black hues.
- Nose
- Violets, spicy red currants, white pepper, 5 spice, plums, raspberry conserve and dark chocolate.
- Palate
- A multi layered generous wine; flavour’s of dark chocolate and red berries flow richly onto the palate that combine with the complex savoury oak to pave the way for a seamless finish. The highlight of this wine is the persistence, which we attribute to the balance of flavour, acid and tannin. 2010 Bloodstone Shiraz is a structured wine with soft velvety tannins.

- Vintage Notes
The 2010 vintage continues a remarkable decade of harvests in McLaren Vale, joining 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2010. An almost perfect growing season paved the way for a vintage where all the strongest parcels of fruit were picked in ideal conditions. The resultant wine has great concentration and flavour yet continues with the Gemtree trademark of fine acid and tannin lines.
