- The Wine
A Bordeaux blend with a difference! This wine offers three very distinct flavor profiles from the Cabernet Franc, Mourvedre and Petit Verdot used in the blend.
- Black & purple.
- Violets, mint, currants, cassis, rose petals, roasted almonds, dark olives, dark chocolate and dried sausage.
- The wine offers three very distinct flavour profiles from the trio of varieties used in the blend. The Cabernet Franc contributes the aromatics and ripe multi layered tannins. The Mourvedre represents the sweetness and concentration with oodles of flavour and the Petit Verdot moulds the entire wine together. This wine will develop beautifully in bottle and therefore reward those with patience.

- Vintage Notes
The 2010 vintage continues a remarkably strong decade of harvests in McLaren Vale, joining 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008. An almost perfect growing season paved the way for a remarkable vintage where all the strongest parcels of fruit were picked in ideal conditions. The resultant wine has great concentration and flavour yet continue with the Gemtree trademark of fine acid and tannin lines.
